Rosé is not passé

For those of you who remain steadfastly attached to drinks in pink (Cosmos, Razzletini, Shirley Temples), I have good news -- this summer's pretty aperitif still fits in your favorite color scheme. Rosé wine -- pink's more sophisticated older cousin -- has become the unofficial drink of this summer's trendiest parties.

Once regarded as too sweet and too cheap, Rosé wines have improved considerably over the past decade. Wine buffs and foodies have been onto this development for some time now, but Rosé wines have started to see more wide spread popularity amongst hep cats and celebrities. One of the biggest selling Rosé wine is Domaines Ott, a French variety that sells for about $30.
