Beklina, where eco-friendly meets cool

I like the environment. I recycle. I ride my bike or walk 85% of the time. Whenever possible, I buy sustainably grown, local foods. But despite these commitments, I just can't bring myself to buy eco-friendly clothes. Call a hippie aversion. Call it a hate of hemp. It ain't happening. Or least that's what I thought until I stumbled across Beklina.com. Beklina sells items for the home, as well as apparel for women and children. All of the wares boast a high level of style and a impressive amount of earth-consciousness. And from what I can tell, there are no fugly drawstring, hemp pants for sale and boy, does that ever ease my mind.At Beklina.com, I'm terribly fond of the Peacock tank from San-Francisco designer Talla. The tissue jersey tank is hand blocked with a hearts and peacock print, which gives the top an ever-desirable Art Nouveau appeal. I also love the thick strips and the gathered neckline, both of which seem bra-friendly without looking too industrial. On the eco-side, Talla's fabrics are produced in India with natural-dyes at an educational safe haven for women and children.
Now see? You can be a do-gooder without looking like a hippie!
