Anne uncovered an eco-friendly line last week, and here's another great option for clothing that both looks good and does a bit of good for the environment. Jonano sells a line of blankets, socks and tops from a material they call EcoKashmere™. The fabric is made of bamboo but feels like silken cashmere and is soft enough for baby clothes and blankets.

The sweater top shown here is made of 95% bamboo with 5% Lycra for a bit of form-fitting cling. Why is bamboo such a good a good option for clothing? It's the fastest growing woody planet on earth and requires no pesticides. The company makes their clothes in the US with sweatshop-free labor. The sweater shown here sells for $36, a reasonable price for a wardrobe staple.
