Dr. Bronner's miracle soap

Sure, Dr. Bronner's miracle soap carries something of an unfortunate reputation. Beloved by hippies and backpackers from Maine to Montana, the highly concentrated soap can be used for anything that might need cleaning, from your dishes to your hair. The prissy side of me hates the idea of cleaning my dishes or my hands with the same product I use to clean my hair, but buying and loving Dr. Bronner's doesn't obligate you to taking the "miracle soap" thing whole hog. I certainly don't, but that doesn't mean that I don't also have a very special place in my heart for dear old Dr. Bronner. A fool for the scent of peppermint, I love using this foamy soap with a pair of exfoliating gloves in the shower. And let's face it, you can't knock the mildly fanatical label literature -- I've read it top to bottom in the tub at least 30 times.
