In the past decade, Halloween has become as much about adult partying as it has been about kids in ghost costumes walking around the neighborhood in search of booty (the candy sort, that is).

As the the adult Halloween industry has taken off, so too has the adult Halloween costume industry, particularly for women. On the one night of the year that it's socially acceptable to dress up like something that you are not and roam the streets, many women choose to dress up like their "inner vixens" (i.e. the tramped-out versions of traditional Halloween identities). Angels in mini-skirts, witches in go-go boots and devils in red pleather, Halloween has become an occasion for otherwise normally straight-laced women to indulge in an evening spent as someone else, and in particular, someone else who is rather un-laced.
