LA Fashion Week: Men love Alan Del Rosario

And I loved Alan Del Rosario's Men. They were in ripped shirts, heavily accessorized with metal, and those who were shirtless were sporting enormous tattooes that said "I {heart} Alan." Quite a statement, especially when it was on the guy with the mohawk. However, I was not so in love with Alan Del Rosario's collection on the ladies. I walked away thinking I had just seen a very odd mashup of fairytales and fashion, and I am talking about looking like Cinderella. We often say "hot pink," but almost every color was the same ultra bright "hot" version of itself like turquoise and orange. The shapes were definitely feminine with poufed blouses paired with poufed skirts, impossibly cinched with wide belts. With the models' hair pulled back loosely and tied with tiny black bows, and some of them coming out in groups of the same look but in different colors, it had a Seven Dwarves meets Alice in Wonderland feel to it.
Still, there were a few things that I liked: a red black-belted dress with a pouffed skirt (not a bubble, but puffed up with a crinoline of some sort underneath), and creamy/white camisole paired with a long black skirt that had cream detailing around the hem.
