Naomi to defend herself on Oprah

As Madonna proved last month, one of the best tactics for dealing with bad publicity is to make a confessional, candid appearance on Oprah. Jennifer Aniston did it, and so did Tom Cruise (we all know how that one turned out). Now, supermodel Naomi Campbell has agreed to appear on the Oprah show later this month to defend herself against the string of assault charges she has faced over the past year. I'm usually not one for the celebrity sit-down on the Oprah show, but I am dying to see this episode. I'll be really interested to see how Oprah treats Naomi. As much as I admire the O. for being a truly sympathetic human being, I just hope she doesn't get all "Oh, poor you, Naomi!" on us. I don't know about you, but I definitely don't have an ounce of tolerance for a raging, self-important diva who thinks throwing her toys at her domestics is the correct way to deal with her problems.
