Things get ugly between Kate and Colombia

It's not everyday that a political leader points a finger at a fashion model. Rock stars, video games, violent movies, yes, but supermodels have remained largely immune to the "I saw it on TV" argument.

Well, fashion's fall from grace has finally happened. Yesterday, at the launch of the Cocaine Curse initiative in the UK, Colombian vice president Francisco Santos stated that Kate Moss was responsible for fueling the drug trade following the scandal in which she was photographed snorting cocaine. Santos said, "Every person in the US and Europe who uses cocaine further worsens the drug trafficking problems in Columbia." He went on to criticize Moss's subsequent career boost by saying, "It's baffling that someone who helps cause so much pain in Columbia is doing better than ever, winning even more contracts. I never once heard her say, 'I'm sorry', when in our country people die every day because of cocaine consumption – that hurts."

It's estimated that around 3,000 people are killed each year as a result of the cocaine industry. But does that make Kate Moss responsible?
