What I wore to...work last week

Once again, I am putting myself up on the chopping block with a photo from our Styledash Flickr pool of an outfit I wore to work last week. Clearly, I have no imagination because a jacket and jeans tucked into boots looks almost exactly like an outfit I wore earlier this month, but in a different flavor (last time black studded belt and black boots, this time brown belt and brown knee high boots). Hey, if Jessica Simpson can rock the same look all over town, so can I!I am finding that this combination seems to work extremely well for the office because the jeans are casual enough to be comfortable sitting at a desk for 8+ hours. The jacket keeps me warm in an office that, for some reason known only to the building management, is air conditioned even in November, as if we were located somewhere in the Tropics.
Styledash readers, thumbs up or thumbs down on this look for work? What should I have done differently? What pieces of this were okay?

You wore this to an office? Wearing tight jeans to an office is just as bad as wearing a skin tight skirt - way too revealing for an office environment. Change the jeans to a skirt, keep your boots or not, and then your look is presentable. Still not too happy about that "lived in, wrinkled" jacket though.

Far too casual for the workplace, unless you are a graphic designer or your office is a very creative environment.
In my opinion, this is a look that is better suited for hanging out, shopping, running around town. It does not say "professional" to me.
