Cheap Monday makes a happy Thursday

A brand name that involves the word 'cheap' is brand after my own heart. Unlike the very misleading Moschino Cheap & Chic, which is heavy on the chic but not so much on the cheap, the Swedish clothing line Cheap Monday's name actually corresponds to its price-point. It's cheap. Cheap Monday jeans enjoy a huge cult following with the European hip kids, but I have to admit that I'm not so much tempted by the company's best-selling item: trendy-looking mom jeans. That having been, I do think that some of Cheap Monday's t-shirts, sweaters and blazers are truly inspired.

I'm particularly fond of the Names yellow top, which is just what such a name would suggest. It's a yellow shirt with hand-scripted names that look like they've been painted on by small child, who is just learning to write in cursive. The top is sort of charming, isn't it? And at €19, that's all I need to know.
