Park Vogel designs responsibly

park vogel dressParkVogel is a duo of designers, Julie Park, a graphic and fashion designer, and Vanessa Vogel, a costume designer. The two formed ParkVogel initially to create graphic tee-shirts, but have expanded into intimate loungewear (Anne mentioned them this summer) and cashmere. Their designs are simple and classic, but the beauty of their line is not necessarily in the design, but what goes into the making of the fabrics for their clothes. ParkVogel uses environmentally friendly Swiss cotton to knit their fine fabrics and cashmere, and it is all done in one of few textile mills which "implement recycling and energy saving programs to reduce emissions and pollutants in compliance with strict European standards."

I love the wrap dress pictured, the Maude dress, made from viscose and silk jersey. Park Vogel dresses are available online from their website, or in select stores.
