A spot of British aesthetic

I have already admitted to this, but I am obsessed with the Brits. The accent, the polite small talk, the extreme tea-consumption -- ok, I know I'm stereotyping big time, but I only do it out of love. When I was in school and had to write papers about the one place I would most love to live besides my home state of Texas, I would always list London first and foremost.

So when StyleDash reader Jane brought this site to our attention, I begged, nay, pleaded, for the chance to write it up. Rockett St George features quirky, trendy, classic, and vintage designs, all in one place, and all pretty much guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind item in your collection. You have a choice of browsing through sections devoted to home decor, children's toys and clothing, bath and body, and miscellaneous gift items. Also, the site devotes a page to each of the designers behind Rockett St George, a touch that I find makes each design more personal and interesting and (of course) eminently more buy-able.

The floral-inspired shelf pictured retails for about $122 US. And if you imagine all the product descriptions being read aloud in a crisp English accent a'la Emma Thompson, it makes the shopping experience that much classier.
