More cheap goodness at ELF
A few weeks ago, Sarah introduced us to the ingenious new company ELF cosmetics, which will soon be available at Bloomingdales. If you are feeling stumped for inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas, I think that ELF's pre-designed makeup compacts by created by Allure, Lucky and Oprah's beauty editors would be a great way to go. Each coordinated compact comes with two eye shadows, a blush and a lip gloss for five bucks. The colors are all neutral, so each compact would easy work well on any skin tone. At five dollars, you might even buy one for yourself. Should you be hitting the party scene with one of this season's trendy little clutches, the ELF compact will give you all of the beauty back-up you will need without the extra expense of complicated packaging and pricey marketing.
One hint however: buy in bulk because the $7 shipping and handling fee seems a little excessive for a $1 item.

Just an FYI - I placed an order with ELF this past Saturday and they said that it could take 4 to 6 weeks to process an order. If you order now, you still may not receive it by Xmas. I know I keep checking the status of my order and it still has not shown up in my account listing, but the pre-auth for the charges are still on my account. Be warned if you want something ASAP - you might want to look elsewhere, like Sephora or Ulta.
