Phoebe Philo minds the Gap

Former Chloe creative director Phoebe Philo is best known for three things: 1. Re-introducing the baby doll dress
2. Quitting her job with Chloe to be a stay-at-home mom
3. Having a truly awesome name
But it seems that Philo now has a new trick up her sleeve. According to British Vogue, Philo has been designing for the Gap alongside her full-time job as a mom. Of course, Philo's affiliation with the Gap follows the recent collaboration between the casual wear retailer and designer Richard Mouret. No word so far on Philo's creations, but I'm fairly certain that they will not involve chinos, stuffable anoraks, or Jeremy Piven.
I really want to hand it to the Gap. After suffering from a major sales slump in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the company now seems to be doing all the right things.
