Rare perfume bottle sells for $216,000

Katie Holmes might have worn expensive perfume on her wedding day. But her Imperial Majesty No. 1. doesn't even come close to the cost of this extremely rare perfume bottle (pictured). Sold by a 90-year-old woman in New Jersey, the empty bottle of Tresor de la Mer went for $216,000. The bottle was designed by Renee Lalique, and it originally cost $50 at Saks Fifth Avenue. The seller received the perfume as a gift from her husband back in 1939. Only 50 Lalique bottles were ever produced, and so far as fragrance experts know, this is the only one still in existence.
