The folks behind the Billion Dollar Babes sale held this weekend at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica were kind enough to invite me to the VIP session on Friday. What would tempt the fashion-hungry and demi-celebs such as Kristin Cavallari to an airport hanger in Santa Monica? Great deals on hot clothing, an open bar, free massages and makeup are just some of the lures of a Billion Dollar Babes sale.

These sales include a variety of smaller designers whose designs are often a little more trendy than you would find elsewhere. It's a great chance to pick up something that you might not consider buying at full price just because the styles tend to be less classic and more ephemeral. My major problem with many of these sales is that they cater to the size 0-4 demographic and so there are not as many options for those who are larger. Most of the sizes stay in the small range but I still managed to find a few temptations. Click through to see some pics from the show and guess which piece I ended up buying.
