Versace inspired by pope's secretary

Religious runway fashion. It was bound to happen sooner or later, and who better than Donatella Versace to kick things off. The Italian fashion house admitted today that the new black suit with white shirt and clerical collars unveiled Sunday night was inspired by Father Georg Ganswein, the pope's personal secretary.

"If you think about it, few other places in the world are as influential as the Vatican," said a Versace spokewoman. Not only that, but rumor has it Father Georg is a good-looking guy. In fact, according to Italy's gossip magazines, the celibate Catholic is considered a sex symbol.

The designer wanted was hoping to show "less muscle and more spirituality" in the new line, and it looks like she's succeeded. Fashion Wire Daily called the look "priestly chic," and fashion experts seem to love the new "Father Georg style."
