Before I moved to Texas, I spent three years living in Liverpool -- the UK's equivalent of, say, Philadelphia. Gritty, industrial and beautiful, with an arts and culture scene that's totally on the rise. While many Liverpudlian women manage to look unbelievably tacky and/or trashy (especially on a Saturday night out), there's also a fair number of well-dressed students and fashion-forward hipsters roaming the city's cobblestone streets.

This photo comes via La Femme, a Toronto-based fashion blogger I've recently come to enjoy. I love the way that her shockingly platinum hair works against the checkered jacket.
