Skin care repair for sugar-stressed skin
Ever since I learned that sugar can cause wrinkles, I've been quietly fretting (without furrowing my brow of course). I should have known there would be a skin care product for it. Dr. Brandt has created a new product to repair skin damaged by glycation, the name for the process in which sugar molecules stick to protein fibers leading to a loss of skin elasticity. The anti-glycation serum has a high potency formula of anti-oxidants including green tea and grapeseed as well as alistin which helps protect skin fibers. The serum apply to cleansed and toned skin. Use it am or pm. Sounds great but there are two problems for me. One, the serum costs $90 making it a pricey addition to my ever-increasing skincare routine, and perhaps more importantly for me, for optimal results they recommend avoiding added sugars in your diet. I could spend the cash but alas, I probably couldn't give up sugar so I guess I'll have to live with glycation.
