Elle MacPherson can't get a date
I can't believe that we haven't blogged about this already here on Styledash. It's not that we think the dating/sex lives of supermodels are all that blog-worthy, but I am having a very hard time believing Elle MacPherson when she says that she has "been single and celibate for two years." Elle MacPherson hasn't been able to land a date for two years?!?! Yeah, right.According to British Esquire magazine, the 43-year-old beauty claims she "just [doesn't] get men hitting on me, but I'm a hopeless flirt. I'll go up to a guy and say, 'I think you are so beautiful'. But it doesn't work." Of course, Elle does go on to say that she thinks men are intimdated by her looks.
You think? Boo hoo, Elle. We feel really bad for you.

Gee, I never thought I would have anything in common with a super model! It's not that no one wants to date her, It's that no one she would choose wants to date her.
I am a 50 year old, 350 pound six foot six administrator who travel 340 days a year. I would love a date with Elle, but the odds of that happening are somewhat lower than the odds of my hitting the lottery, at least I can buy a ticket for the lottery. If she wants date to the circus, just e-mail me.

Obviously, men perceive Elle to be already spoken for, or that she wouldn't be interested in them, or she's "high maintenance", etc. There's a ton of misconceptions out there about beautiful women. I personally think that she's at a disadvantage because of her looks-- She has to be proactive and take the first step in asking somebody out, (but she shouldn't say that a guy is "beautiful"--Maybe, "handsome")

She just has not tried at 1995 Jeannie Drive in Southaven, MS! I assure you she has a chance here!

Once everything is out in the open, men will feel that she is more approachable. Men won't even try, if they think they don't have a chance. Why does the burden have to be placed on men to make the first step in asking someone out.

Its the over 40 thing - I completely understand. I'm no super model, but I am attractive over 40, no kids, employed and can't find a DECENT date either.

I had heard that guys just don't approach beautiful women like that. I was watching the "E! True Hollywood STory" of Charles in Charge and Nicole Eggert siad that she hasn't had a date ever because guys are intimidated by her. Every time I've ever seen Kristen Davis on a talk shoe (3 times now) she is always talking about how she's single. These are gorgeous women. Hey ladies...I'll gladly take any of you out for a good time...

It would thrill me to have a date with someone so beautiful, but I'm so old, when they say happy hour, I think it's time for a nap.

I had my share of "trophy babes," and I have come to the conclusion that..........
Looks are the result only of good fortune and fade away in time....I'd rather date a woman with substance, that took her some effort to achieve"
She's dateless and celibate because guys obviously get tired of her crap.

Maybe it's her attitude/personality. Being beautiful doesn't automatically make you a nice person. I saw an interview with her recently and she didn't seem all that personable to me. I could be totally wrong, but that was my impression.
And how many guys out there appreciate being called 'beautiful' anyway? lol :o)

I would be happy to date you Elle if you won't use me for a stepping stone. What do I mean by that? I dress dapper, have a 44-inch chest and 34-inch waist from working out since I was 15. I'm not a pretty boy but ruggedly handsome with no facial wrinkles. I treat women extremely well. I have class, culture and great etiquette. However, I'm not rich but middle class. I'm not famous. I've dated female celebrities before. I'm a stepping stone not for someone in better shape or better looking. I'm a stepping stone so she can leave me for someone with more fame and fortune. Elle if you want someone that you won't use for a stepping stone, I'm your man. Female celebrites that are lonely are looking for someone like Donald Trump or Hugh Heffner. They have money to take care of them for the rest of their lives. I rest my case.
