Newspaper runs fake Gucci ad on accident

How far will you go to get your 15 minutes of fame?

One Swiss man went so far as to con a major media company into publishing a fake two-page Gucci ad, in which he poses half-naked next to a bottle of the designer's perfume.

And by the sounds of it, he didn't have to try very hard. According to Christoph Zimmer, a spokesman for the paper, the man simply called, requested an expensive two-page spread, sent the paper the artwork, and asked for the $50,000 bill to be sent to Gucci.

The man is now under investigation for fraud, and the paper plans to make him pay for the ad. But, says Zimmer, "we don't rate our chances."

Hysterical.
