Liz Hurley's other wedding dress
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Celebrity, News
By now, you know that actress Elizabeth Hurley actually had two wedding ceremonies. The first at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire was traditionally British (gin and tonics, Bentley, light rain). To this event, Liz wore her much anticipated Versace dress. For the second wedding ceremony, which took place in Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, the happy couple shook off their British sensibilities and gave into the regional traditions of the area. Instead of a Versace gown, Hurley wore a designer sari created by Tarun Tahiliani. Guests were treated to dancing white horses and walkways lined in chili peppers, all of which preceded a week of endless parties for 200 or so guests.
Wedding details aside, isn't that photograph spectacular? I don't know what your weekend plans include, but I wish mine included being lavishly showered in rose petals as my new husband dipped me back romantically in front of a circle of beautiful belly-baring women.

I think she actually wore a hot pink sari for the Baraat and the wedding ceremony; the "dancing" photo in white was taken afterward. I've been to both Sikh and Hindu ceremonies and the brides did wear red & gold.

So, you're still single , eh ? Your comment is irrelevant. Means nothing to a man. Women just don't get it. Sex and Love do not come together as a neat little package. Eh , love?

first of all on the "i'd kill my husband" comment, maybe you need to work on your insecurity a little bit. If you are that upset, you obviously don't trust any man and a marriage without trust is NEVER going to last. As far as sex and love not coming in a neat little package, good food, sex or love is always a little sloppy. I just say good luck to anyone famous or not who gets married in todays messed up world.

I doubt she'd "kill her husband". It just seems like an off-hand comment that people are taking seriously. What's wrong with wanting to be the most important, most beautiful woman around on your wedding day? Isn't that where the ugly bridesmaid dress theory came from? (=brides pick ugly dresses for their bridesmaids so that they, the brides, look even lovelier by comparison)
In a society when women are told that a wedding is the most important day, the pinnacle of their existence (sickening, but fortunately dying out little by little), what's wrong with actually wanting it to be a good day. We raise little girls to yearn for their princess wedding, and then call them selfish and insecure for wanting their dream, the dream that society has given them, to come true.

I agree that the photo is beautiful. I wish my wedding day had been as much fun as this looks in the photo. We are so uptight in America, so hung up on doing things the 'proper'way. We really don't know that it is possible to have fun if we would just relax and go with the flow.
