Beauty in a pot?
A few weeks ago, I wrote about a homeopathic product called the Neti pot, which uses saline and gravity to cure nasal problems like allergies, congestion and hay fever. The original reason I wrote about the Neti pot was that I was actually considering buying one to help make allergy season more manageable. Since the trees have started to drop their hateful pollen all around my lovely 'Ville, yesterday I forked over the money for a Neti starter kit. Admittedly, the Neti pot isn't exactly intuitive. It's a little gross and slightly terrifying, but after one use, it did the trick when it came to my sinuses.
But the Neti pot did more than just clear out my sinuses. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that the puffiness and dark circles around my eyes were gone! Not just slightly masked with concealer or minimally depuffed by a cucumber eye cream, I mean they were really gone.
The only conclusion I can make is that eye puffiness is at least partially caused by pressure and swelling in the sinus cavity. So if eye bags are your great beauty woe, you might want to hit your local hippie grocery store and see what Neti can do for you.
From me to you, just remember to breath through your mouth!
