New cure for blushing
There are blushers and then there are blushers -- you know, the people who turn beet red and sweaty at the slightest provocation. If you happen to be of the latter category, then you might be pleased to hear that there is now a treatment for uncontrollable blushing. It turns out that blushing is actually caused by a nerve in the chest that runs along the second rib. When faced with embarrassment, confrontation or nervousness, this nerve triggers the flushing in the neck and face we know as blushing. Scientists have discovered that excessive blushing can actually be treated by cutting the nerve that starts the red-faced process.
Blushers be forewarned -- this cosmetic treatment doesn't come cheap.

I think the wire shoes look pretty cool but they would suck to wear. They need to make them out of the clear plastic stuff and put the wires inside so it just looks like theyre made out of wire. It would be alot more comfortable and your feet wouldnt be hella nasty by the end of the day!

Oh my GOD! Are they nuts? Cut the nerve just to stop the blushing reaction?? This condition can be treated with chiropractic and acupuncture. Cutting the nerve will have all kinds of other repercussions...it's just pure insanity to do that just to control a minor issue.
Typical of American society these days...take a pill for this, plastic surgery for that, fake breasts, etc. When are people going to stop all this nonsense and learn to love themselves as they are???

This may sound kind of unusual but I find blushing to be kind of beautiful in a woman. To me its a sign of a caring heart

Johnnie,
I agree. I think blushing can be quite charming on certain people. I, the other hand, seem to be incapable of blushing, which has been a mixed blessing.

I have a huge problem with blushing and it isn't just caused by embarassment. I have anxiety and will feel blushing as a red, hot feeling and some days I just don't feel like even going outside my house because it is such an uncomfortable feeling. I don't care what it looks like but the rush of heat on my neck and face is horrible. Probably what older women call hot flashes?? It can happen to me all day long. I do take some anxiety meds for it but around the time of my monthy friendly visitor it is unbearable. Would I chose surgery, I might if it doesn't stop.
