We're used to celebrities carrying around little purse pooches as accessories, and -- in places like New York -- dogs are a status symbol (the larger the dog, the larger your apartment, the more money you make). But not all dogs are created equal. In fact -- believe it or not -- some dog breeds are actually trendier than others.

The breed that's in right now -- at least according to fashion designers -- is the bulldog.

The t-shirt on the right was designed for DNKY Jeans, and the panties on the left for Gap Body. I actually think both look cool, but I'm not sure it would matter what kind of dog they used.

All I can think of when I look at bulldogs is that obnoxious sound they make while breathing, so I wonder what other canines would make for good decoration on fashionable clothing -- poodles, hound dogs, maybe collies?
