When in Myanmar, beware of hair thieves

For some reason, the concept of hair extensions has never fully registered as something normal in my head... And, trust me, I'm already very open-minded when it comes to normality. Well, I have another negative item to add to my list of hair extension pro's and con's: The hair extensions you sport may have been stolen from someone else!

There have been a string of strange crimes in Myanmar, where unsuspecting women in crowded places have had large chunks of their long hair snipped off. The hair is then sold for up to hundreds of dollars per pound and made into extensions. As if coming from possible hair thievery isn't bad enough, poorly-placed hair extensions can also result in the pictured embarrassing moment. Poor Beyonce.

Thank goodness I'm happy with short hair.
