God speaks, Paris listens

Everybody loves a redemption story. And if it involves a badly-behaved, self-important celebrity who is being forced to face up to the consequences of her behavior, we love it even more. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before Paris Hilton decided she too needed to get in on the "I'm sorry" gravy train. According to an story on ABC's website, Paris contacted Barbara Walters on Sunday* to express regret for her behavior as well as her hope that the media would focus on something other than her 45-day stint in prison. She said: "I used to act dumb. ... That act is no longer cute." Hilton insists that her jail experience has made a meaningful impact on her life, and that when returns to her life outside the maximum security facility, she would "like to make a difference. ... God has given me this new chance."
A new chance to make a difference? Let me guess -- it's a new reality television show involving one of the following: prison inmates, poor people or children. Paris can try all she wants to change the details, but the game, I'm sure, will stay the same.
*Does anyone else find it odd that Paris went to Barbara instead of Oprah? Not that I'm trying to create a hierarchy of outlets for public apologies, but Barbara Walters seems kind of like the low-budget option.

For all those that think God has inspired Pariste Hilton all I can say is she has to do the walk and this prime example of a child brought in the type of permissive family such as hers has not got it in her. I give her less time to return to her lifestyle than Britney took to jump the fence in Rehab.
As Bette Davis once said" Fasten your seat belts children, it's going to be a rough ride".

Paris in jail! The streets of L.A. are now safe. God forbid that the L.A. prosecutors put away someone who murders his exwife, or a pedofile who has a Circus attraction in his front yard. Nooooo, they need to focus their resources on making sure that this badly behaved heiress is securly behind bars and no longer a threat to society.
I am glad to hear Paris has gotten religion. It will be good for her. The girl needed something, and its cheaper than rehab, not that she needs to worry about the cost factor.
As for your comment about Barbara Walters being low-budget, did you really mean to suggest to elevate Oprah to a higher class level? Pretty much all of this is low-budget and not worth the time and effort put into it; except, maybe, the pure entertainment factor.
