StyleFoul: Beyonce has grandma legs
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Celebrity, Hot or Not
When I first saw this picture, my eyes started on the face and went down from there. Everything was looking fine; hair was looking good, the over-sized earrings were alright with me, dress was gorgeous, and Beyonce's body has never looked better. But wait! Hold the phones people, who's legs are those? Those are legs of a 75 year old grandmother waiting at the bus stop. Beyonce is wearing some beyond thick nylons that aren't even close to her natural skin color. Look at her chest, then quickly pan down to her legs. It's like looking at two different people; Beyonce and someone's grandmother.
Here is a little fashion tip for all of you women out there, especially in these warm summer months, do not wear nylons. Beyonce is a young woman in her 20's, no need for nylons. The only thing she needs is a nice coating of shimmer lotion and she can be on her way. For those of you who feel like you need a little coverage, try Airbrush leg sprays from Sally Hansen, it's fabulous. The spray is light, natural looking and covers up any ugly marks on your legs. Just promise me you won't pull a Grandma Beyonce on us.

Lauren Messiah, who wrote the article is a jerk. Let's see her legs? Beyonce is beautiful including her legs. This is one time when all the posters agree with me. The media needs to leave these poor people alone!!!!!!!

I agree with the REX... Giving fashion advice to a beauty when standing next to her is a beast! I say... Your Pathetic!!!

I agree will estee. Some people are gonna be beautiful no matter what they wear. Beyonce just happens to be one of them. People who usually look bad in things tend to criticize other people!!! Beyonce? you look marvelous, absolutely marvelous!!!!

Ladies, to a real man, a woman with a pair of nylons, pantyhose, stocking, or whatever you call them is the cherry topping to a classy outfit and person. A woman without the complete package of dress is not classy. Bare legs, open toed shoes with bad toes is just TACKY!
Beyonce you have a geat career, body, talent and a Great pair of leggs and keep showing them!

Kudos, to comment #37!!
Frankly, I think most you people total missed what the damn writer was saying, if you read CAREFULLY she said in plain English that nothing else was wrong w/ B's attire, except for those flicked-ass stocking--I ain't even gonna say they pantyhose 'cuz they look way too hideous!
I'm a young woman myself, and though I don't wear them all the time (mostly 'cuz I'm not a dressy-type girl everyday) I do still understand--especially learning from my mama & other female relatives--the essence of what pantyhose can bring to a nice outfit. But also as a Black woman--and as any sista worth weight in gold, especially the older ones, knows that don't every shade of pantyhose go w/ our vastly different complexions!
.....B I know your mama & grandmama surely must have taught you that!! Girl, you know better....just 'cuz you light-skinned don't mean nothing--same rule applies to you fairer shaded sistas, too.
What you need to do next time B when you feel the need to wear pantyhose, you need to stop a good ol' Walmart and go pick you up a pair of Legg's Brown Sugar pantyhose in nice shade of toffee and call it a day, LOL!
By the way, next time B you might give yo' man a waredrobe check before y'all leave the crib! C'mon Jigga, I KNOW I've seen you dress better then that...and this time ain't one of 'em! Upgrade IT, dude! LOL

For those who say, "Get with the times" when saying that hosiery is "out" .... I have only to tell you that hosiery is " IN " in a very, very big way. Everything from soft summer-sheer hosiery in skin-to-pastel shades to bold patterns and even fish-net! Footless hose under baby doll dresses is also big. What is NOT "in" is bare legs under dressy dresses. It might have been ok five years ago or during the "grunge - chic" era, but it is NOT okay now. Ladies who do not wear hose with classy dresses or business wear do indeed look low-class and skanky. They absolutely SCREAM " I don't know any better."

Oops, I meant I agreed w/ comment #36 (didn't mean to double post either, LOL)!
Also, comment #46 is kinda right too, some of y'all people need to lighten up! The article wasn't intended to bash B--even if I'm not a crazy fan of hers--but it did point out a very true fact: wrong shaded pantyhose, especially if you're trying to go w/ a skintoned-based color (I ain't talkin' bout the colored stockings/tights/pantyhoses), on any shade of female that ain't Caucasian--looks tacky! I made the mistake and did it before and it made me look tarded--and I'm a darker than B (mocha-toned)! LOL

I think this is a load of crap. The commentary, I mean.
Nylons aren't reserved exclusively for the old fogey folk. Nylons add an air of sophistication to an outfit. Kinda hard to tell in the world where skin is flaunted openly. Her choice in nylon color is a bit iffy; she shouldn't have gone with that color exactly for that dress, but a shade that matched her skin tone.
