Catherine Zeta Jones spends $400 to wash her hair with caviar
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Hair Care, Hair, Celebrity
I wash my hair with good-old-fashioned shampoo, and I figured I was lookin' alright. But today I learn that if I want my hair to really shine, I need to spend the big bucks. At least, that's how it works for Catherine Zeta Jones, who apparently has so much money that she can spend more than £200 (about $400) just washing her hair. How is this even possible, you ask? Does she light her bathroom with fires made from burning money?
Not exactly (but almost). The actress believes she got her shiny locks by lathering her scalp in truffles and caviar. A spa near London flies in the fish eggs from Iran five days ahead of every treatment, then, upon Miss Zeta-Jones' arrival, washes her hair in a truffle-based shampoo before smearing on the caviar -- all while the star sips champagne and nibbles on culinary delicacies.
According to a source for the UK's Daily Mail, "The eggs are packed with omega-3 fatty acids necessary for the formation of structural proteins" which are supposed to repair dry and damaged hair.
According to me, this salon is scamming rich people and getting away with it.

She doesn't have any other important thing to do but that. Why doesn't artist used their brains for intellingent thing and helping people?
It amazes me the foolish things artists do to attract attention. They are souls in pain.
Better clean their acts, the world needs intelligent people to helps solve the problems. There are plenty of problems to solve. Please, do something intelligent. The brain should be used, if not decays.
Sincerely,
Al

I don't understand why people with so much money are happy to spend it so foolishly...I can't say I have spent every dime of my own little bit of money on nessecities, but if I had the money that these people make, I would try to keep the silly stuff even with the contributions and trying to make a difference in the world....if they are making an effort to help the situations that they can then they should make sure it gets as much publicity as washing hair in fish eggs....

Ha ha...... A vain fool and her money were soon parted....... These silly Hollywood nitwits can be talked into paying anything to try to hang on to their looks. Who would have ever thought that someone could actually be talked into paying $400 to wash their hair with fish eggs?? What's next...... telling her that wearing a jewel-encrusted toilet seat on her head will make her look thinner and chic?? Good Lord.

She's an adult and she has worked for her money - If she wants to treat herself - why would anyone begrudge her???
I'm sure she and her husband are hit up by every charity known to man!

Why do you care if she can afford it why not. I should look as beautiful as she does. She works for her money and should be able to spend it as she pleases.
Get a life.

I agree with Trace, it is her money, she worked for it and can use it as she chooses. So many people criticize celebrities for this kind of thing, but I wonder if these people were in the limelight and had lots of money, what they would do. And the Douglas's do give and do a lot for charity. Some of the critics might use their time in more worthwhile pursuits, such as improving their grammar and spelling, from what I see on these blogs.

This is not true. CZ-J has denied it (and laughed about it) several times

--They will repair hair when INGESTED...your body cannot just absorb fatty acids to restore proteins. To use them, they must be ingested and undergo a certain kind of oxidation which allows the body to make proteins. If lathering fish eggs on your hair could repair it, then putting it all over your muscles would repair them as well seeing as they are composed of proteins just like hair.

This totally isn't true. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Zeta-Jones remarked " If I were to get carviar that often, I would eat it! I use shampoo!" Styledash needs to get their facts straight. And by the way I'm not her publicist.
