American Idol: the wearable versions
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Celebrity, News
Lyrix by Lyric culture is a new line of apparel set to launch in February that's entirely inspired by American Idol. No, it's not a bunch of knock-off's of the actual clothes worn by the American Idols during competition (chosen with plenty of help from Idol stylists.) Instead, the shirts, jackets, jeans, pants, and dresses will all be printed with either lyrics from a popular American Idol song or some other American Idol-related words and pictures. I can't imagine that being done un-tackily, but we shall see.For now, the line will only be available in junior girls' and boys' sizes. So unless you're tiny enough to squeeze into junior's sizes, it look like you'll be spared the chance to risk a fashion disaster like wearing a dress with the lyrics to "Rhythm is Gonna Get You" written all over it ... for now.

Why not just as long as the clothes are in a good style and taste and not horrendous sacks like Jordin wears. Who dresses her anyway somebody with horrible fashion sense apparently

What a retarded concept! Like who in their right mind and fashion sense, would actually purchase clothes made by American Idol? Also, I wouldn't be caught dead with clothes that have the words "American Idol" on them. I do enjoy American Idol, when the season is a good one, but to wear clothes geared towards Idol? Like I said earlier, it's a retarded concept!!!

I think I could actually get into these clothes, literally! These are fresh, new, inexpensive and so very cool. I can't believe somebody finally came up with the "Idol" clothes idea! Why didn't anyone think about this earlier? Does anyone know if the proceeds go to a good cause or charity?

I would much rather see the young teen set wearing these types of clothing than some of the things that I see teens wearing all over the place today...mid drifts, daisy dukes, g-string underwear hanging out for everyone and their brother to see,...get my, hidden mid-drift? So many of the clothes out there for kids today are what I would consider more risque and adult than need be! Let these young kids be kids...I will have to say this, your only offering these clothes in a smaller size, to me, is prejudiced against the kids out there that have some extra fluff! It is important for kids, especially when accompaning their thinner friends to the mall, to find clothes in larger sizes! It means alot to a kid to find the same clothes their thinner best friend has in their size so they can "fit" in...I think that subject should be revisited, especially since several of the kids who sang this past year, in American Idol, were far from being in the smaller sized clothing...I can think of several I would guarantee were in plus sized clothing, our winner this year included...Thank you! From a bigger beautiful gal sick of never finding any hip clothing in my size!
