Clothing made from condoms

Condoms, already one of the world's most useful products, are finding yet another way to work themselves into your life -- this time as clothing.

No longer merely a prophylactic, the latex products were recently featured at a fashion show sponsored by the 4th China Reproductive Health new Technologies & Products Expo. Models strutted up and down the catwalk in outfits constructed entirely of condoms, including bikinis, mini-dresses, suits -- even wedding dresses.

OK, so you probably won't see these on the racks of your local lifestyle boutique anytime soon, but these stylish garments are a nice reminder that wearing condoms is cool.

Ok now that is kind of gross. I'm all for the idea of sending the message that "wearing condoms is cool" but, not as clothing.

great idea to generate publicity. there's an epidemic in china right now. noone's wearing condoms and the abortion rates are sky high with women using abortions as a contraceptive measure. and in china, noone talks about sex so some peeps don't even know what condoms are.

For Gwen, that was an incredibly stupid comment. Just because people dont talk about sex doesnt mean that they don't know what condoms are. They're not morons.

I just can't see any woman wearing anything made out of condoms. Talk about exploitation. Why then don't they design mens clothng out of bras?

I think this is just plain gross and presents something private to be accepted as no big deal. I would be embarrassed to see someone in one of these.
