I'm not in any position to speak about how cool or uncool LA really is, seeing as I've spent a total of 3 days there in my entire life. However, I live in Austin (a city that sees a number of LA transplants), and if there's one thing that's more annoying that some faux-urbanite from NYC (who thinks they're totally awesome because they once saw two members of The Strokes at some dive bar in Brooklyn), it's a name-dropping loser from LA who tries to sound all West Coast by referencing the entertainment "biz" -- as if they had any idea what they were talking about.

That's why I love these "So LA" sneakers from Ce Ce Chin's 80%20 collection. Not only is the retro sunset with palm tree design completely genius, you can sarcastically tell the world that you're "So LA," without actually being so LA that no one wants to talk to you.
