Dog wigs are animal "style"
I was actually late coming into the office yesterday because of the Today Show, which always entertains me in the morning. I don't actually watch the Today Show for news because very rarely will I find actual "news" there (I prefer watching CNN for the news). What I did find in place of news today was a very old woman discussing her dog wig company. Yes, you read that correctly -- wigs for dogs!
Why a dog would need a wig is beyond me. Dogs are covered in fur! Dog clothing is one thing because that can be pretty cute, but wigs?! It was pretty amazing watching the segment because Al and the gang could hardly contain their laughter. There were dogs with comb-overs, blue wigs, braids ... you name it.
I wish I could give you a more informed post, but I was laughing way too hard to actually hear the interview. I think the photos speak for themselves. I managed to find a gallery online today, please be sure to check it out.

I feel this may be cruelty to animals. I love my dogs, but I KNOW they would not appreciate a hot wig on their head. Crazy!!

At first I thought this was just a joke; but sadly it is not and I should've known better! People are crazy and will forever find a way to feed their neurosis!

I can just see my Australian Cattle Dog pulling this wig off of herself, throwing it into the air and then herding it before ripping it to shreds.....this is too bizarre.....

Whats wrong with dog wigs? Sometimes my sweetypie doesnt have time to do up a whole "do" so we throw a wig on her and she's good to go. She's the queen of the dog park with her brown velvet curls, and it didnt take her an hour at the beauty parlor to look that way!
..of COURSE I;m kidding. This idea blows chunks.

Why do people need to put wigs on dogs? Dogs are cute as is.

Please tell me this isn't so. Funny yes but I wouldn't be caught dead with dog in bows and/or clothing, let alone a wig. It's not dignified for either the owner or the dog. It's just wrong in so many ways.
