Jessica Alba has perfect wiggle, say Cambridge mathematicians
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Celebrity
A group of Cambridge mathematicians has discovered what all of us have known for quite some time -- that Jessica Alba has the world's sexiest wiggle.I'm not joking. This was an actual study carried out by real Cambridge academics -- and it wasn't some office opinion poll, either. The mathaletes figured out that the wiggle in a woman's walk is determined by the ratio between her hips and waist. Apparently when you divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement, you're looking for a ratio as close to 0.7 as possible (this will produce the most angular -- and therefore the most alluring -- swagger).
So, a woman -- like Jessica Alba -- with a 25-in. waist and 36-in. hips has the ideal shape to pull off a sultry swing as she walks.
Of all the academic studies that take place every year, this is clearly one of the most important.

I hope you're being sarcastic about this being important. I found it fascinating the number of studies done each year on complete and
utter nonsense. I would love to know who died and made them the gods
of beauty. Who are they to determine the "ideal" feminine hip-waist ratio? They should conduct this study worldwide, where they will find
that the entire world will not find Jessica to be all that attractive.
Most would find her far too skinny and bony. I fail to see how someone
that resembles a skeleton has an attractive walk. She lacks any
womanly curves that give the hourglass shape. Someone like Tyra Banks
or Halle Berry has more of an "alluring swagger." I don't see how
someone like Jessica who has bones popping out can be considered all
that attractive in terms of her walk.

Umm, as a male, whom I assume the swagger is supposed to appeal to, I would say that these kinds of studies are always welcome. I wish I had the credentials to partcipate in the process. Boy, that would make work a lot less dull. I don't think she is "skin and bones" at all. Thin and in-shape hasn't completely lost its appeal to men. I assume that is still Alba's target audience, right?

Whoa, I just got the link to this article mailed to me. I would like to ask Jane where she gets the data to back up her claim that "most would find her too skinny and bony." I agree with Jimmy. I think that Jessica Alba's target audience is men, and some men (probably a lot) do think she is hot. I also agree that thin and in shape, a woman who takes care of herself and keeps fit has not stopped being attractive. I think the "study" is offered tongue-in-cheek, and people could sure use an enema in this country to lighten up a little, but whatever the intention, Jessica is hot. And why can't we men enjoy some beauty? How many fat guys are being paraded around as eye-candy for women these days? A little double-standard, perhaps?

Nah, it's only a double standard if it involves women.
