Posh Spice says Brits more fashionable than Americans

How do you make friends when you move to a new place? Personally, I like to tell everyone I meet that my old friends were more stylish. I think people find it really endearing.

Or not. Surprisingly, that's the way Posh Spice has chosen to befriend the women of Los Angeles, the city she recently adopted with her husband David Beckham. In recent interview, she not only said that Brits dress better than Americans, but also that "the UK has the most stylish women in the world."

Um...has she ever been to New York? Never mind Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Stockholm and all the other world-class cities that routinely make waves on the international scene? I used to live in the UK, and let me tell you, Posh is either confused, or just lying. There's plenty of fashionable women, by there's no way it's 'the most stylish country in the world" -- not by the long shot.

Well, we have better teeth than the Brits, how about that Posh Spice that by the way doesn't smile because SHE has bad teeth!

You have got to be kidding! Many of the Brit women dress somewhat dowdy. And the hats, smack dab in the middle of one's forehead! (Ref: Princess Diana's Thanksgiving Memorial.) Looks like they are trying to cover up a third eye, if you know what I mean. New York, Paris tops the chart in fashion. Posh, you are not.

Wow, we should really take fashion advice from a lady who used to sing praises about a Wonder Bra! Hey, do I recall a movie in which she and four other fashion disasters dressed like the love children of Wonderwoman and Bjork? Isn't she the only Spice Girl who couldn't sing, not that any of them were particularly talented? Her fashion advice consists of recommending the little Gucci dress, the little Gucci dress, or the little Gucci dress. And if UK women are the most stylish in the world, then Camilla Parker Bowles wouldn't be stealing hats from the Flying Nun.

Dear Posh, You used to be hot however the face jobs and the pumped-up boobs make you rather bionic. Perhaps if you would smile some --- no, better not for that would show those terrible teeth. I agree with the former writers about many other places in the world being more stylistic than the U. K.

I think she's wrong. Stylishness is regional. New York, next to Paris, is probably the most stylish city in the world. You can't judge taste or style by Los Angeles. I lived there for years and I was shocked at how many women wore over the top, cheap looking outfits that made them look like hookers.

And, this is from a woman who adores skinny jeans-an item that most women look horrible in. Her make-up and lipstick are all wrong for her and make her look sallow. Money doesn't constitute good taste or style.

The UK is noted for bad food; bad weather and ugly women. Posh is one of the ugly women. Bad attitude too. UK version of Btittney. Trash !!!

I agree with her. The women of London are VERY stylish. Much more so than LA. LA is trendy, but London is stylish. The women are beautiful, the food is very good, the weather is not always so good.

Whoever is talking about ugly women and bad teeth; bad food and bad fashion hasn't gotten over to London in several years.

And by the way, I'm American.

I'm an east coast girl transplanted to LA, and Posh gets my vote! I am SO tired of jeans and sneakers everywhere I go, and those abominable track suits. This city seriously needs a kick in the fashion patootie! Go Posh!

My advise to the snobby Brit is go home! She needs to learn how to smile. If she thinks her pouty mouth accents her stick fugure she is sooooo wrong, I, as one American, have a real problem with a Brit coming to America, getting a huge welcoming pary from celebrities (OUR CELEBRITIES) and then blasting Americans because she thinks she outdressing us. I would take the way I look over her any day. What is wrong with your legs POSH???? You are a snob and need to go back to the rock you crawled out from under.

I think there is some AWESOME fashion in both the US and the UK, but think about it: In the UK, I doubt many people wear crocs, shorts, and t-shirts everyday.

There might be nicely dressed people in the US, but there's a whole lot more...not so nicely dressed people.
