Ugg lust

I have an interesting relationship with Ugg boots. In 2003 when Uggs made their wild comeback, I stood in line and purchased a pair. At the time, I am not even sure I actually liked them, but they were hot and I wanted to make people jealous. I ended up wearing them everyday that winter: with dresses, with pants, out in the snow, inside watching a movie ... I wore them 24/7. Once the winter ended so did my Ugg boots, I placed them back in their box and shelved them.

Living in LA has stirred the Ugg beast. I wanted to pull them out but I couldn't -- I couldn't be one of "them" could I? Today I was struck by the beast. I pulled out my dusty Ugg box and place my foot inside the sheepskin boots. Oh Uggs, how I missed you and your comfort.

One problem, they were way too big on me. Which got me to thinking ... I need a new pair of Uggs. So as a change of Ugg pace I want to go with the crochet version. They will serve the same purpose as regular pair of Uggs ... they won't necessarily match anything and they will be comfortable.

What do you all think, love them or leave them at the store where they belong?

When I went to Boston University, I took Art. The midterm question was: "What is beauty?" My answer got an "A". I said: "Beauty is always useless. Functional things are always ugly." These boots are ugly. Therefore they must be good for your feet. I say, wear them.

I don't think they are very attractive but to each his/her own. This crocheted one looks like it could be a medical breakthrough. Docs could use it as a cast to set broken ankles, all they need to do is slap on some cement and it's good to go.

i have the same problem, haven't taken them out for whole year but... they are cute, regular Uggs that is, but crochet?? *vomit*

Eww Sorry but these arnt cute. People would be more likely to think "What was she thinking??" than "She is totally haught". then again, it really shouldnt be about what other people think. if you really like them that much, then you really should get them!

i wear uggs 24/7! i have them i almost every color there is and style but crochet uggs...NO WAY!!! i will never wear it even if it was given to me free.

i love uggs ! i have them in so many colors and so many styles! they are just so comfy! but crochet uggs...NO WAY!!! i won't wear that thing even if it was given to me for free!!

I love my UGGS! Growing up in San Diego on the beach I could wear them all year round. But, not into the crochet UGGS. They're kind of ugly.

I love uggs. I wear mine almost everyday. I love the croceted ones. I think that they are really cute.

Who cares what other people think.... they are amazing! I have an obession I own 8 pairs not including my UGG slippers. Its like heaven in a shoe people, come on. Don't deny the one thing that brings happiness to our lives.

Personally, I love uggs they are the most comfortable thing out there... pamper your feet and look cute at the same time! It's alright if people hate them, but I say most of the hate comes from lack of self-confidence to wear what is different. Or, some of you out there hate uggs simply because other people have worn them a lot, again, you just need to get over it and decide for yourself! Go ahead... put them on and feel how great they are. And always, wear whatever you love, for whatever reason, with confidence and you can never go wrong.

I think that you should buy them! they are soo comfy!! i have a pair of them and they are my love!!! But, i also have the original pair too, and they are a little bit more comfy than the knitted ones are. But the knitted ones are warm and not fuzzy, and you can or not wear socks!!!!!! Get them or i will be mad!! LOL

um uggs are cute + they are comfy. i personally think they look cute with anything from sweatpants to jean skirts. but i'm in high school and i think that they would look ugly on older women. no offense to them or anything. =]

Uggs are great. They are sooooo comfortable and great when it gets cold. I live somewhere where it does get cold so i like to keep warm in these comfortable cute boots that never dissapoint. There are so many colors that there is no way to choose which pairs. So where them or don't, love them or not, but when it is time to go out in the cold or just watch a movie inside I know I will be wearing them.
