Kelly Osborne's $2,400 laundry bag

This past Spring Louis Vuitton (the world leader in absurdly overpriced bags), premiered these enormous, checkered plastic totes as part of their collection. They look practical, straightforward -- probably good for carrying clothes to the laundromat or groceries home from the supermarket.Except the bags cost £1,200 (about $2,400).
What crazy person would pay such a ridiculous amount for a $5 plastic laundry bag, simply because it's adorned with a Louis Vuitton stamp?
Why, Kelly Osborne, of course! They 22-year-old rocker was recently spotted carrying the tote when leaving her London apartment. As you can see in the photo, Kelly looks confused -- just like I would be if I'd paid $2,395 extra for something just because it once appeared on a runway.

Thing is, Kelly probably did not pay for that bag. It was probably a "gift". LV will probably get plenty of sales from wannabes that see her carrying it around!

I've personally never liked LV bags and have never fathomed why some women love them. On the other hand I think this new one isn't half bad, I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it but it's the first LV I've seen that I didn't have the gut reaction of "ugh" to.

Louis Vuitton is not the leader in overpriced handbags, that's just silly. They never go out of style and they wear well, so you wind up keeping them much longer than a regular bag and therefore get to amortize the cost over the life of the bag.

That one is nowhere near as bad as that pieced together craptastic bag Bouncy has been carrying. It's some limited edition, 50K joke Marc Jacobs or some designer there with a sense of humor put together.

We do carry those as market bags in Belgium and they cost about 2 euro a pop, without the signature LV.

the poster in regard to her getting the bag free is most definitely correct...the poster who said that she is certainly ruining herself, by getting all those dark tatoos is certainly correct...she is starting to look like her dad (who i love after watching the osbournes)...as they say, apples don't fall far from trees...oh...i really love the bag and the price makes it even more desirable...as everything is relative, it depends on your finances, but again, those who can most afford it, get it for free LOL!

Even if it were a gift, that thing shouldn't be seen in public. Even if it weren't ugly, prices like the one quoted in the article are just rediculous. Take $2,400 to K-Mart or Wal-Mart and you could buy a whole wardroobe, not just one ugly bag.

I think most people have gotten carried away with buying bags that cost more than rent for the avg person. Even poor women are buying these outrageous over priced bags. Even if I could afford it I would pay no more than 80.00 for a bag. There are better things I am sure you can get for the money.

If you got it flant it, but don't flant it with that ugly a_ _ bag. There is nothing that any of Ozzies kids need to flant except his oldest daughter, ( the one with sense and good looking one) that can flant anything. So please keep these other two pitiful kids out of the headlines.
