Converse Allstars as high heels? This is a joke, right?
Not everything that's cool in its own right deserves to be combined. For instance, I love eating ice cream. I love watching TV. I would not love eating my television.Apparently this was not so obvious to whoever designed these Manolo Blahnik Dark Denim Kiddies. While I'm as enamored with my Converse Allstars as the next person, and would probably dig having a denim pair, turning them into $699 pointy-toed heels (currently on sale at $299 -- I wonder why) was the dumbest fashion mistake I've seen since Louis Vuitton tried pawning his $2,400 laundry bag off on hapless celebrities like Kelly Osborne.
But maybe I'm being harsh. After all, I don't wear heels, so ladies, this is really your problem, not mine.

These aren't new. I remember seeing this girl in my 10th grade bio class wearing something like these. They are so ugly. She was kinda whorey.

Indeed high heeled sneakers were a fad back in the disco era, though usually wedges, not stilettos. I even have a vintage pair myself. The only new thing here is these cost about a hundred times what any I have cost.

Eww! I wear the converse high-tops, the low-tops, and the lace less low tops, but I would never wear those.
Even if I could afford to pay $699 for a pair of shoes, I wouldn't.

I remember several sistas wearing these in high school, they were very bright gold! They did look right for them with very short denim skirts. Had to have the right legs and figure, but they did. It was like, YOWSER, not hooka at all.

Someone could make them work for her! They are cute, but not for every body type.

Maybe if they were a different color? Ehhh, they're not that cute. I suppose fashion is all about trial and error, though...

they aren't really converse at all, why try to ruin their good name by linking them to this shoe disaster?

Um wow, hold old r u ppl on this blog? these are awesome! but only when worn properly, such as with an equally awesome pair of long boot cut jeans. I wouldnt ever pay that much money for one pair of shoes, but still, i have seen many ugly ugly shoes out there and these are one of them.

Like Steely Dan said -
"Hurry the bottle, mama
It's grapefruit wine
Kick off your high heeled sneakers
It's party time!"

They're actually kind of cute. But the price and heel are both way too high for my taste. Some idiot is going to buy them. They always do.

Anyone remember a song from the early 60's: "Put on your high-heeled sneakers, put your wig hat on your head..." Now I'm really showing my age!

I wear high heel pumps, but those ankel breakers are as ugly as berkenstocks or sandals with socks. There is a wide difference between fashion and fad. The box is more attractive.
