it is so important to Travel Light This Holiday Season
November 26th, 2007
Many of you are in the midst of holiday travel, so we though we would offer you a few tips on traveling light. It’s very easy this time of year to pack for a trip and end up with huge heavy suit cases. ‘Tis the season for warmer clothes!
First and foremost, pick a color scheme for your shoes & bag. Obvious choices would be black, brown, gray, or a metallic. They are neutral and can easily be paired with a variety of clothing. Once you have your color scheme, plan your clothing accordingly to coordinate back to your shoes & handbag.
The second tip, which is probably a tad less obvious, would be to choose warmer layers with less bulk. For example, choose a thin cashmere blend tee instead of a thick yarn sweater. The thin cashmere blend tee will likely provide you with the same amount of warmth (maybe more), yet it will take up less space in your luggage and be lighter to carry.
Last but not least, we love to mix and match. If you can change around the pieces you chose to create a few different outfits, you will be amazed with what a small bag you can get away with. Or you can pack the bigger bag and save room for new things you buy will you are away!
