Live like the Olsen twins (for $12 million)

Ever dreamed of living like a celebrity -- partying like a rock star in the city, then crashing at your fabulous apartment with gorgeous views overlooking downtown Manhattan? Yeah, I have too. Now you can know how the stars live -- even take a tour of one of their fancy shmancy apartments. But if you want to have it all for your very own, you'll need to pony up $12 million.
That's how much Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are asking for their swanky apartment in the West Village. It's a great location, amazing view, etc -- but I hope whoever buys it doesn't get stuck with their decor. It's almost uber-retro-chic, but still looks way too much like a high school girl's bedroom for any self-respecting grown-up to live there. The combination of these two drastically different design aesthetics is a total train wreck.
The twins design some decent clothing, so it's a little surprising that they can't the inside of the apartment look halfway decent. For $12 million, I think I'd be looking elsewhere.

Oh jeeeeeez.........unless they are selling it furnished....you WON'T....
and from the pictures.....it is VERY NICELY decorated......and looks
WAY more than "halfway decent".....in spite of the 'pink girly bedroom'....
which is the ONLY room that was shown NOT to be in sync with the
rest of the decor !! I have read some of your other 'stuff' and guess
I shouldn't expect anything better from you than for you to 'trash' the whole style of a place over one room...... grow up sweetie..........

Actually, the author of this post does not know what he/she is talking about. The Olsen twins have never even lived in this apartment. It has been currently rented out to a family for 35,000 dollars a month. The bedroom in the picture is the youngest daughters room designed by the youngest daughter currently renting. So, next time please get your facts straight.

Hey Meghan.....I wonder if this "author" actually gets PAID to write
this "stuff"........if so......MAYBE ..... I .....can get a little part time job
'blogging' on stuff I read about........surely I can find things to write
POSITIVELY about.....considering how much negativity there is out in

well they were and still are pretty much kids when they did this place..they pretty much were young girls dressing up their bed rooms, but on a house hold scale, what do you expect, cut them a little slack. ill admit its a bit much for grown adults but adults didnt live there..

I know what you mean. I said I wouldnt post or read the articals anymore after how much of a snot this person was about how people dress during the holidays. and thanks for the tip to megan, i didnt know that someone else lived there, I just know at the time they were kids..and that would explain as to why it wouldnt appeal to most adults, and good point im sure they wont sell it furnished, the 12 mill price tag im sure is worth the area and views and such, thats actually a low price for some celebs flats ive seen on the market

IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE REAL ESTATE'S WEB SITE WAS WORKING AND I COULD HAVE ACTUALLY 'SEEN' THE APARTMENT. I'D NOT PAY $12 MIL FOR A HOUSE, LET ALONE AN APT AND CERTAINLY NOT IN NY CITY! BUT THEN, I AM A BIT OF A TIGHTWAD WITH MY MONEY AND I REFUSE TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR A NAME AND GET VERY LITTLE OF THE PRODUCT. MAYBE THAT IS WHY I AM JUST WITCHYPOO TO YOU!
