Alicia Keys

Alicia Keyes is a beautiful woman -- but she's having trouble pulling focus from that glitzy Christmas tree behind her. How could this be? For starters, that's a particularly boring dress. It's not unflattering, but it's not doing her any favors, and it looks she's sitting down a to lunch date rather than a holiday performance.

Am I being too harsh? Maybe the understated look is a refreshing change of pace?

Alicia does not look especially good in the photo you have here, but when she appeared on The View , she was absolutely gorgeous in a cherry red satin blouse. She is a beautiful person.

I think it works nicely here. Of course she'd have trouble pulling focus from that tree its very shiny and highly decorated. She cant very well wear a bright red dress in front of that tree. She has to somewhat match without looking like she IS part of the tree.
