Roberto Cavalli to airport staff: "Do you know who I am?"
Roberto Cavalli, the admittedly famous fashion designer who's been in the news lately for his work with H&M, the Spice Girls and Jennifer Lopez, is -- not surprisingly -- totally full of himself. Cavalli was heading through an airport in South Africa when security officials stopped him for not having the correct paperwork. Apparently under the assumption that he's way too cool to bother with concerns of the common man (like national security, for instance), Cavalli scoffed at the airport workers, asking: "Do you know who I am?"
Oh, man. This is such a cliche. How embarrassing!
And it gets worse. After the designer discovered that those random South African airport employees didn't, in fact, know who he was (which isn't exactly shocking), he added: "I am the greatest fashion designer in the world!"
That's a fairly significant exaggeration, to say the least.
