Lauren's Fashion Week Diary: The Waiting Game

Most people hate waiting but I don't mind it at all. Waiting is the perfect opportunity for people watching and pre-flight organization. I started with a little organization and went through my fashion week calendar to reconfirm with myself, which shows I was on "the list" for. I then transferred that list to not one but three calendars (OCD much?). Writing Bryant Park in my planner gave me a serious rush – I couldn't write it down in enough places.

Once my organization insanity wore off it was time for people watching. You know you are in the company of the fashionable when you hear very thin old women spouting off quotes like this " If there is a hamburger on that flight I swear there is going to be trouble." Preach on old bag! I am with you, just days before fashion week begins you have to keep your fat count and carb levels low.

Of course I was on the lookout for interesting airport attire as well. It's always interesting to see the fashion choices people make for their travels. I saw a faux Victoria Beckham who was wearing a tight pencil skirt with a hot pink satin trench coat. It was a very posh look but not practical for a 5 hour fight. Aside from that overdressed woman everyone else pretty much looked like crap. I am just hoping once I land the fashion forecast will be a lot more fabulous.
