Castro: how to dress like a dictator
Filed under: Accessories, CELEBRITY STYLE, Fashion, Celebrity
Where will military fashion go now that the world's foremost icon of military apparel is calling it quits? Sadly, he'll probably spend the rest of his days in that dorky tracksuit -- way less flattering. Here's a post for all of you who have already decided what you're going as for Halloween.Experts in career counseling always recommend dressing like the job you want. If you're goal is to lead a revolution and rise to power, you've really got to look the part. This olive field jacket ought to make you seem more like a 'man of the people,' or 'woman of the people' for that matter. Nothing says 'I'm right here with you, peasants' like putting on the uniform of a low-ranking infantryman and snapping lots of pictures.
The best manipulators pay close attention to every detail, it's how they take advantage of what they're saying with each fashion accessory. Cigars are a good choice, they make you seem friendly and conversational. As of yet, I haven't hear of any reliable sources of Cuban cigars here in the States, but a nice Dominican Cohiba will probably do the trick. Baseball caps are also very disarming, it's easy to trust someone who's into sports. I don't Castro ever wore a hat with a peace sign on it, but he probably should have.
