Marc Jacobs for Louis Vutton
Filed under: Style in the News, News
Marc Jacobs closed out the season with his show for Louis Vuitton. I wouldn't say he ended with a bang so much as a dull thud. If we're being honest here, the clothes just didn't do it for me.The insane head wear he had on all the models was one thing. It added to the structural look that Marc was going for. I didn't like it, but I understood why he felt the need to use it. But, the hideous pants were just too much. If they have the ability to make a woman who is 6 foot tall and 100 pounds look like she doesn't have chicken legs, I don't even want to know what these bad boys would do to my size 6 thighs. Even the skirts were designed to give ladies who have no hips, birthing hips. Why would any woman in her right mind willingly do that to herself?
There were a few cute dresses and a nice jacket or two, but the bags being carried were the one saving grace of the collection. With the LV logo embossed on, I have a feeling these will be a huge hit with the folks that can afford them.
Browse through the collection and tell me if I'm wrong! Would you ever wear any of these 80's inspired pants?
