Chanel Iman: Victoria's Secret's new Pink model

Although the fashion industry is hell bent on keeping the runways of New York, London, Milan, and Paris as white as possible, 18-year-old Chanel Iman has still managed to make her presence known after only a few seasons of modeling.

The beautiful mannequin -- who is half African-American and half Korean -- caught the flu this season, but still managed to walk in an impressive 43 shows.

Last night, Jim Shi of Fashion Week Daily caught up with the budding supermodel at designer Justin Giunta's first fashion show for his Subverive Jewelry line. (On a side note: Target is currently selling chic, plastic and inexpensive pieces from Subverise.)

Anyways, Chanel was quite chatty and told the reporter about her upcoming plans to move from her current rental in the Financial District, possibly being the new face of a Ralph Lauren beauty line, and spilled the beans about shooting the Victoria's Secret Pink campaign this week.

Scoring a Victoria's Secret campaign is huge in the world of modeling, so I couldn't be more happy for her. After landing two American Vogue covers, this couldn't have gone to a more deserving person.
