Arbor: Eco-friendly shirts with style

Even if Arbor didn't make awesome apparel (and skate and snow boards) it would be a great company. They have a commitment to the environment that would make Al Gore blush, and that's saying something.

From their website: "Arbor's long-standing assertion is that solutions to many of today's most difficult snow, skate, and apparel design challenges exist in the natural world."

Here are some samples of their shirts for men:

If you want to know why these shirts, and Arbor in general, are even cooler than you think, click the read more:
They donate large chunks of their profit to environmental causes. They use recycled paper. They print with soy or water-based inks. They buy wind credits to offset their fossil fuel needs. Did you know that you could buy wind credits? Me neither.

I like that kind of passion in a company. It would be even better in a government, but that's for another blog.

Here's what got my attention, bamboo. Yes, bamboo, as in the stuff of tiki bars and panda meals. They make the majority of their apparel out of bamboo fabric. Sure, they use some cotton, which is mostly organic, but even then it is almost always blended with bamboo. I know, I thought that was cool, too.
