Don't anger your skin
We all have bad skin days. Red, itchy, patchy, splotchy or blotchy, whichever way your skins rebels, the search for something soothing is also universal. Most people make the mistake of treating irritated skin by putting more stuff on their skin. Ironically, this usually makes things worse instead of better!
When you are mid-flare up, the best thing to do is nothing. No creams, no lotions, and definitely no heavy concealer. Really. Like your mother told you, touching it will just make things worse. Be strong and wait it out.
Even better, once you get your systems back to normal, take steps to avoid another outbreak. If you have sensitive skin, then stay away from scrubs, peels and anything that smells good. That way leads only to misery.
But don't despair. There are still plenty of awesome products to use. Check out the gallery of tried and true friends that keep your skin calm, soothed and smooth.
