Paula Abdul dumped over her 4 hour beauty routine

Ladies, how many times have you kept your boyfriend or husband waiting while you fussed over yourself for a night out? Guys, how many times have you been obnoxious about this, complaining about being late instead of appreciating that at least one person in your relationship gives a rat's ass about they look. Most of us have grown to accept that this is a part of dating, marriage, etc. Once you're betrothed, you're never on time for anything ever again -- it's just how it goes. Paula Abdul, however, has pushed this to the extreme. The sloppy drunk/American Idol host has been dating JT Torregiani, a restaurateur -- but rumor has it that the relationship is on the rocks. And while some people point to Torregiani's playboy behavior (flirting with other women, yadda yadda), most suspect that the real culprit is Paula's ridiculous beauty routine.
Apparently it routinely takes the daring fashion darling four hours of fussing over her hair and makeup before she can get out of the house. That means if JT got bored while Paula was getting ready for a night out, he could hop in the car, drive from her home in LA to San Diego, say a quick hello to a friend and get back before she was finished.
No wonder they're breaking up. Assuming she wakes up around 8am and goes to bed at 12am, that's 25% of the day dedicated to primping. Between that, and Paula's American Idol duties, there's no way she has time for a relationship.

It takes me three hours to get ready to go somewhere. Somehow though, I am always waiting on my HUSBAND....because he waits until the last possible minute to even start getting ready. He just doesn't seem to get that fact that if he can get ready in 20 minutes, he should do that and be ready waiting for ME and I wouldn't have ti bitch at him to HURRY UP! MEN!! LOL

If a woman has long hair, and part of "getting ready" is taking a shower, then drying and flat-ironing or curling the hair or putting it in rollers, yes, 3 hours sounds about right. 4 seems a bit excessive.
There are ways to be lower-maintenance with long hair, though... like eschewing all the curling/ironing.

My hair is actually long...it is so long infact I can now tuck it into my pants. Not that I would but, I could :). It does take a long time with showering, drying, I iron it with a clothing iron, then make up, and finding something to wear. I also have a 2 1/2 year old I have to get ready as well. I think I do pretty well. :)

ladies, you can take two minutes or 4hrs, but you'll NEVER be ready in enough time for him. why? b/c he'll either get distracted while waiting for you, or wait til the last possible minute to tell you what the game plan is, thus making you late. now, since i'm habitually late to social events (which, to me is stupid. how can you be late to a PARTY!? i can understand it, if the party DOES have an end time or is a surprise party, but anything else should NOT require a timestamp!), ppl do tell me the wrong time, so to them i'm showing up ON time. but those who treat me like an adult, tell me when it is and just expect me to be on time. if i'm late, it's my own fault. and that's the way it should be. if you're adult enough to go to a party that requires a certain amount of time BEFOREHAND to look good for, than you're adult enough to be there "on time." if not, it's your own fault. what happened to taking responsibility for your own actions?!
