Breaking news -- Nina Garcia, long time fashion director at Elle has been "let go." There's still no word on what caused the falling out between the company and Nina, and we don't know if this will affect her status as a judge for everyone's favorite show, Project Runway.

No one at Elle has been reached for comment, so at this moment the details we have are sparse. But, ever since Joe Zee arrived to Elle and began work as creative director, the rumors have been flying that Miss Garcia would be departing.

WWD also reports, "Elle hosted a dinner with Moschino to celebrate Simon Doonan's new book, "Eccentric Glamour: Creating an Insanely More Fashionable You", but Garcia was notably absent."

Hmm, we want to know what happened! What caused the firing? And was this a mutual thing? Does Nina already have another gig lined up somewhere?
